Default New 991S Cabrio build

Below are the Specs on the New 991 we just ordered. We are going to be driving this car 5-day a week as a daily driver. We still have some time (before the car goes into production) to make a few minor option changes. So, does anyone have any likes/dislikes as to the options/selection choices? -Any unsuspecting surprises or concerns?
Additionally, we ordered this 991 a couple of weeks ago (around Sept 10). This is for an October build and we haven’t been given our Build-Date yet. Is this unusual? Any and all opinions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

I really like the color combo, it will look great!

Only suggestions I have would be..

Carbon Fiber package for PDK & leather. For me CF looks fantastic with blue leather, don't know what it is but just seems to be so right in my eye. Test it out on the 3D configurator. Take a look at the multi-function wheel in carbon fiber also.

Steering column in leather,....otherwise it is black and will stick out on blue.

Fuse box covers in leather,....I believe they will be black against a blue carpet.

Otherwise it looks great.

My car was built last week and the time the order locked for changes was in july. It may be different though for non-ED orders. I pick it up in 2 and a half weeks.

Your build looks good, as i think all the good options were picked except for the sports exhaust (PSE) - however being a daily driver its prob not what youre looking for.

PSE was a tough choice for us and we decided to go with some other options which racked up the price pretty quick( the sport design package is 5K). I figured, and I hope I am right, that I won't miss it too much as the S will sound great as is; but I also am one lucky dog in that my weekend and occasional car is an R8, which has a fantastic muscle car growl for when I need a sound "fix".

Sounds great.

My main recommendations would be:
1. With the PDK gearbox, go for the Sports Steering wheel with paddles
2. Not sure about the white dials -
3. I'd ditch the Sport design package and add the Sports exhaust (and save some cash!)

Colour is purely a personal thing, but I'd go for a red roof and red interior instead of Blue. But if Blue is your dream colour then that will still look good!

interior trim package painted would be better and probably cheaper than white dials. I would also add leather center console trim so you then keep the white detailing to one level.

remember that your sports chrono clock will have its dials black

not a fan of the Sport Design Package .. unnecessary ornamentation on a beautiful, timeless and clean design. of course, this is entirely subjective.

if you go for multi function s/wheel, you lose the stalk that controls the menu, which is a huge pain. as the cabin is snug and everything is within easy reach, a MFSW is not really that essential. Sport design s/w looks and feels miles better.

not sure if 630 is the same as the light design package, which adds lights to the windscreen center console, the door pockets (covered and open), footwells, and rear side panels.

I would also delete entry and drive, as that comes with a nasty stubby and cheap lever in the ignition which is like a dummy key .. better to use the key, which you can get painted in white.

great to see that you have selected PDLS, the dynamic lights turn with the car, and range extends as speed rises, plus the darkened insides go really well with the white

add folding mirrors, they come with additional LED white lights under them which is really cool when you unlock the car.

Mine is similar. I got PDCC. I got Sport Chrono but could live without it. I did not get PSE and glad I didn't because the engine is plenty loud without it (in a good way) especially with top down. White looks great.
