Question iPhone5 texts messages?

I have a new 2013 C4S coupe. Upon pairing my iPhone5 to the PCM, I noticed there was a screen to display text and email messages. I could not get any messages to display. Anybody had their iPhone display messages? Blackberry? LOVE the C4S!!!

You could not get your messages to display? I think I sympathize, but I can't get my PCM to stay paired with my Galaxy S-III, so I can't confirm the message problem.

Nevertheless, I agree with your conclusion. I loved the C4S too, and I love my C2S also. This 991 generation is a great one. Even if they can't find a decent supplier for the PCM...

It works on my BMWs as well, but so far not on my Porsche. It's interesting, that my Panamera is a few months older than the 991, but it does not have the text message screen. This must be a newer version in the 991??

I have a Dec 2012 build and it works on mine...you need to tick 'enable notifications' on the bluetooth setting on your iphone for the pcm pair. Then when you are driving a text icon will display on the bottom left cnr of the pam display.....you then need to click phone button, and click on text messages....its really annoying that it doesnt display in the dash...maybe this is something i have not figure out yet

I also cannot find this. I have iPhone 4S and 911 Carrera S, and October '12 build. The phone works fine, but I don't get email or text messages. For what it's worth, the car also downloads all the addresses and phone numbers from the phone as well.

In the BMW 650 only the header will show up unless the car is at a standstill so no issue of trying to read and drive. It also downloads entire information on all contacts in the Blackberry.

I do not get the "show notifications" option on my iphone 5. Don't think I really want my texts on the PCM anyway, but I like stuff to work even if I don't use it.

It looks like the notifications is a separate topic in "settings" for the I5
