Quite frankly, anyone (man or woman) who is "magnetized" to you based on your possessions, is a sad sorry soul.

The person who acquires these possessions for that purpose, is even more sad.

(I have no idea who they were).

I don't have a Porsche yet, but I do have an M3. I can tell you with 100% confidence that it does not matter to women. The interesting thing is that when it was new, I got a lot of attention from other guys (!). So basically, your car is a status symbol to other men, and women don't care.

Close, but no cigar. From an evolutionary standpoint, that is actually exactly what would make women care. Males are judged based on their status within their (male) peer group.

This is why high-school boys try to outdo each other with lots of stickers, wings, and other accoutrements such as stereos and rims. They aren't installing all that stuff to impress the girls -- they're using it to establish status among their peers, which in turn impresses the girls by signaling reproductive fitness.

I had a sudden interest from women before my porsche. Gold diggers do not know the difference between a 911 and an audi A4. You will however notice a sudden interest from other straight men like yourself.

Maybe this answers the question.

Parked at a pizza take-away and placed my order. Busy night so I had to wait. This is at a fairly busy shopping center so lots of people walk by.
To keep me busy I decided to do a little survey. How many people tuned their heads when walking past the car and what is the gender.

Well, the result is interesting.
I counted about 180 people walking past, I'd say around 60% of these where females. Only 5 females noticed the car. The men ? Well, I hate to say this but around 75% of men turned their heads, several stopped and had a closer look.

So chick magnet ?
No.
