great post! i'm thoroughly enjoying this. you appear to have acute autopia syndrome...my main question is why you wait until the end to whip out the crocs. also, i was surprised to see you leaning on the car. oy, what if your shorts had zippers/exposed velcro!!

Ha...ha... You need to try those Croc sandals. They are pretty awesome and very stylish.

I'm usually wearing board shorts or some variant without buttons or zippers, so I've developed a bad habit of leaning on the car.

I'm just going to have to move from the coast so I can get into a house whereas the inside of it is half as nice as your garage. Living on the beach in Los Angeles in a tiny house and miniature 2 car garage that's 15 times more expensive than my C2S is really dragging on me. Hey, at least we have the weather year round.

Love the quick release and hose reel. You're correct. If you haven't owned a decent one you will never know!
I couldn't imagine having to pay what you guys pay. Beach Front at $3,000 per foot, yikes! But you do get to live in one of the coolest places in the world. I paid about $90 a sq. ft. for lake front. I'm working with an architect to build another garage, and we estimate building it at about $50-$60 a sq. ft. I guess there are some advantages to living in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks! I'll post a pic of my tiny garage later.

I was thinking about going out and washing my car but it's much easier to turn on the TV, watch Supercross and just scroll through your thread again. It's almost like I'm washing my car just by looking at it.

Sheeting or sh*ting it all looks the same to me!

Default 991 iPhone Mount

Someone posted about their favorite iPhone mount on 6speed quite some time ago, so I bought it for my S4. I never really used it as I haven't been able to get a long enough cable for that car, but it works pretty well for the C2S.

http://www.kenu.com/products/airframe

I learned a couple of things tonight. One, I really need a 24-70mm lens. I sold my old one thinking we didn't need it any longer. It's darn near impossible to do an interior shot with a 50mm. Not to mention, the f1.2L has a super hard time focusing in low light. Second, I really need to clean up the leather after the window tint. I'll break out the Leather Masters next week. I guess I'll just add it to the list.

I hate wires, but there is a very audible difference between a lightning cable-USB connected phone and streaming over Blue Tooth. I use Spotify at 320kbs often. Even at 320kbs, it doesn't sound great, so adding another bottle-neck in Blue Tooth makes it worse.

Here is what I came up with for mounting the phone. I'm certainly open to suggestions on making it a cleaner set-up.

I also stuck my pre-paid tolls sticker, E-Pass, onto the windshield. I hate seeing this, but I hate stopping for tolls more. Sorry for the blurry shots.

One last quick pic to show what the tint looks like when you are looking through it. It's not as dark as it appears from the outside. I think it's perfect for the blazing FL sun.

If you don't need to go through a toll on a regular basis, you can stick the toll sticker on a clear piece of vinyl, then you have a removable sticker you can stick on the windshield when you need it.

I've done that before. I also used to just keep my original big plastic box they had from 2003 in the center console. Since they came up with this new mini sticker, I decided to stick it on there and see if I can live with it.

Default Personalized Plate

I have never had a personalized license plate before, but I decided to get one this time. I'll have it in 60-90 days. I wanted something that only car people, specifically Porsche people, would understand in hopes that it reduces the odds of getting keyed.

Cool pics, nicely done. Are you aware there is a hole on the top of the fuel filler door hinge to insert the cap tip while fueling so it doesn't dangle?

Yeah, I'm aware of the hole, but I still don't want the option to drop the cap and have it smack the fender.

Not only did my better half create a ton of fuel cap scratches below her fuel door creating a perfect protractor sized scratch bundle she had the habit of leaving her enormous set of keys on her key chain swinging on the drivers door leaving a massive set of scratches there too!

I guess I'm dating myself as that was before an Accord came standard with a key fob. Nightmare!

By the way Hammer911, your Avatar is inspiring me to leave my rear clean and badgeless. I keep adding the black PORSCHE badge to my car and Suncoast but keep deleting it. I want to see how it looks with the vanity plate and the very thin bezzle plate frame I ordered.

Plate selection looks good. Only the 1% of us will know it's a vanity plate.
