I was told that the dealer makes most of the $ on extras 40-50%
Invoice on a base MT 991 $76,820
Dealer Invoice on MT 991 S $89,960 and MT4S $96,017

I could do a carbon fiber wrap on the holster, if that would make you happy?

With deviated stitching.

I'm thinking of upgrading to the "sports exhaust" option (357 Sig)

I did not forgo the leather interior and a few other things

2014 911 Agate C2 Cab:
7MT
Platinum 20" CS wheels
Sport tip exhaust
Agate/Pebble leather interior
Bose
Seat Porsche crest
Heated/ventilated 4-way seats
Sport steering wheel

Guess this is not so minimalist!

No need for carbon or deviated stitching it is bad ax the way it is like carrying a lever gun on a horseback.

I like this kind exhaust on a suppressed side

Low options sports cars tend to be harder to resell for a decade or so and the become easier to sell than high option cars.

Default Apparently, my 991 is a rarity

I just happened upon this Youtube of my car just before I picked it up from the dealer. Imagine my surprise to see it posted on Youtube. She may be sparse but I am still very happy to have a Pcar!!

I never load up on options, and I have always sold my cars quickly. I focus on safety options, most of which have now become standard. I always "splurge" on PSE and PASM which I wish Porsche would make standard.

People should get what they want of course. However its worth noting that a completely "stripped" 991 is still a very, very well equipped 911. Of course you'd never know that because somewhere between 99 and 100% of all dealer builds are spammed with options so unless you order you'll likely never even get to see a "minimalist" one in the first place...and most people who order do so to get options, not to omit them.

If all I could get was heated seats and colored wheel crests I'd be happy.

I agree. This is my first Porsche and I'm very grateful just to be able to get my foot in the door. In the future I'll get more specific with my purchase but my current model will suffice.
