I did not think i needed a sunroof.
If I had ordered from the factory the sunroof would have been left out for sure. However after driving the car I find the tilt up feature is needed to drive with the windows down . Without the tilt up the wind concussion is unbearable. I thought this was worth mentioning because anyone ready to order should drive with the windows down and the sunroof closed before ordering.

This big of an oversight by the designers is amazing.

the cabriolet only has this with everything closed and driver's 100% down. Driver's 80% down fixes, or cracking passenger. Top up, and all windows down, has zero buffet effect on the cab.

I open the sunroof to hear more engine-exhaust sound. Plus I love the fresh air. And it reduces rear axle lift in combo with the higher rake of the rear spoiler.
What's not to like ?

Extra weight, extra cost, one more thing to break and need maintenance, some have complained of a whistling sound, structural integrity of the roof, difference in aesthetic, etc. I can understand arguments for and against the sunroof. But make no mistake, there are surely arguments against it.

Headroom headroom headroom for us taller folk. While general belief is that the sunroof design does not rob headroom on the 991 it simply is not true. A 991 without sunroof adds 2.5+ inches of headroom behind the opening.

Ah yes, headroom. Glad I added an "etc." in my initial post.
