Glad to amuse you goofball. Oh wait.

How is thinking that the 991 is the best iteration of the 911 fallacious inductive reasoning? I can't wait for the riches your response will surely bring.

The same riches that make you think the 991 is the best iteration, of course.

The 991 is a fine GT and a superb all-around car. But there are several Porsches that could arguably be considered better iterations.

Newest doesn't always mean best. Nor does the fastest. That's part of your flawed reasoning.

I'll leave you to educate yourself, but here's one response that often gets called as the best amongst those who know Porsches:

1973 Carrera RS.

Of course, this is debatable. Just as a complicated, electric-steering, mass produced, VW-made 991 might be if it were called the best iteration.

I like the 991 very much. But the best? I'd put a 993 Turbo, 959, 964 Cup or the aformentioned Carrera RS ahead of the 991 as the best iteration of the 911.

I have a feeling Nick and many others would too

I'm glad to read this extended saga has finally run its course with both parties apparently satisfied.

Professor, you didn't answer the question. And, at this point, I can only conclude that you didn't understand my initial post. But that's okay. At least you had yourself a good chuckle.

Another consideration - from lots of past experience...these guys build pretty good cars.

Nick, so getting pissed works. Use it sooner going forward. You paid a hefty tuition for this lesson.

I hope you get all your money back and all your expenses covered.

I have not decided. The only other car that interests me is an M4 however I would be sad to leave Porsche particularly as I do still believe in the brand.

As the original owner of a pristine 91, I'd love to see Nick in one of the new ones, if for no other reason, than his video review would be priceless

I think the replacement car will be perfect. BMW is a good car but not a Porsche.

Good on you Nick. I'd go for the replacement 991. You deserve to enjoy a properly functioning example....and I gotta believe that yours truly was 'the' lemon!
