How do you use your PDK?
#4
I'm using Sport+ 90-95% of the time and shift via the stick most of the time.
If I'm being overly spirited, I tend to use the paddles because I like having two hands on the wheel.
The car is a toy for me and not a DD

How I use my PDK:
-In auto 95%
-to get from 0-60 in 4.2sec w/ PSC
-For louche control
-To get higher MPG
-To coast (A little known fact) If you blip both paddle shifters at the same time it goes in to neutral

Auto 99% of the time.
Auto-Normal on highway for cruising.
Auto-Sport in the city usually.
Manual - 1% - Sport - When I find a fairly empty twisty road.
No Sport Chrono/ Sport + and do not miss it.

Hello! First post for me...
I use my PDK in manual about 80% of the time using the buttons, (MF wheel) to change gear.
I only use auto on the motorway (highway) to save fuel.

I leave my PDK in auto mode 100% of the time but manually shift, usually downshift, at the race track a couple places a lap. This avoids the potential downshift if not in the lowest possible gear when accelerating hard out of a corner. I very rarely manually shift on the street. Since you can easily override the automatic mode, I don't use the manual mode.
When I do manually shift I always use the rocker buttons on the steering wheel. I may be the only one, but I prefer the buttons to the paddles. I can shift up or down with either button regardless of the steering wheel position.
I use normal mode when driving around town or on the freeway, sport mode when driving harder on twisty roads and sports plus only on the track. I find sports plus annoying anyplace else.
