I don't know about that, but how many car companies offer the opportunity to semi-customize an uncommon (in many markets) car into virtually unique status for $4710 more than a "standard" metallic color?
And I wouldn't be dismissive of the "base" 991. It's not exactly a dog.

Base 911's are not exactly slow. Ever actually driven one? Especially with PSE... that'd be sick. And besides, no matter what Porsche you buy, there's always going to be something else out there that is faster. That's not what owning a Porsche of any kind is about, being the fastest that is. It's the overall driving experience.

That said, anyone know of any 997 PTS cars for sale? Specifically blue's. Under 100k please

Article is this months motor trend of base carrera vs M4. I wish they had chosen an S with Sport chrono and PDK. The M4 had DCT so PDK would have been a better comparison. M4 won but barely. Had they eliminated the small rear seat size and comfort in the 911 it would have won. Like anyone really cares about the back seats in a 911. A C2S with sport chrono/PDK would have kicked the M4's ****. And yes I know it would have cost more.

Since you mention that article, I used to drive on those roads all the time back when I had my E46 M3 back in NC. Went to college not far from there, so once I got the M I knew all the backroads to hit and was only living about 35 min away down the mountain haha.

Another great thread z356...Your threads appear to cost rennlisters substantially, but at the benefit of finding their own Porsche nirvana. Cheers!

Oak Green. Sounds about right. Was that a 993 color?

Looks like it's a color that goes back to at least the 1970's:

I wasn't disparaging a base 911 - I own one. It was simply an observation that personally I would use the cost of PTS for options other than PTS.

So sick (though I could do without the Alcantara options). The exterior mirrors look incredible.
