Nice find and great build! Very loaded and unusual build for a 2012.5
One owner too.
Don't see anything that stands out other than front drilled plate and drivers bolster wear. Looks VERY CLEAN.
Get that CarMax warranty and you're good to go.

What do you guys think about upgrading from standard PASM? The car I am buying has PASM, not S-PASM. It has everything else though. Having owned an S-PASM car previously, I want to keep it at that level of performance or above (GT3 would be nice, but I need the seats). Having driven the GT3, I wish they sold that option in a 4-seat car.
My mechanic suggested calling Elephant Racing and having them set up a package for me: perhaps lowering springs, GT3 sway-bars, upgraded bearings, perhaps drop-links. Is that going to match or exceed the S-PASM performance? I looked into putting S-PASM on the car, but it was about $4500, and for that price, I can get further.
I could just drop the car on TA springs, but that doesn't do anything for performance.

I would bet that standard PASM with a DSC Sport Controller upgrade would easily out-perform SPASM... I haven't run it myself but check it out, most folks rave about the performance improvement. Plug-and-play controller box, $1,300.

Opinions on the increased resale value of a CPO.
I'm cheating a bit posting this in HFS as most .1's are older than the scenario I'm describing, but all the best Porsche minds read HFS! ;-)
Looking at a used 991 purchase and have the option of adding CPO even though it still has a fair amount of original warranty left..
The question for the collective is: Is the private sale value of the car with say 2 years of remaining CPO worth $3K to a private buyer? More? Less?
If the warranty was almost over, it would be a much easier decision. But I tend to turn cars over fairly frequently, and it's highly likely I will not own it long enough to even come close to paying back the $3K investment in repair savings, so I'm also looking at it from a resale value perspective.
Thoughts?

- Buy a used 991 that still has remaining 4-year, 50K factory warranty...
- About 1.5 years remaining original factory warranty. (I told you I was stretching for a .1 HFS, but definitely possible!)
- The car had been through full CPO inspection. It is CPO eligible and needs nothing to bring it up to full CPO spec. Fundamentally a flawless car with 30K miles.
- The CPO would increase the purchase price $3K and give +2 years and additional mileage of warranty (3.5 years, unlimited miles).

I would be shopping it against non-CPO cars where I can get an aftermarket Fidelity platinum warranty with a longer duration. That said, there is obviously value in 2 years of CPO left. I don't think it's $3,000 but others may feel differently. It's probably close though.
