Default Dumb question number 1...1 1/2 weeks with my 991 and

wondering where folks put their cell phones in their car since Porsche seems to have skipped any slot or cubby to have it next to you easily.

Door pocket or passenger seat. I don't use my phone in the 991.

in the center arm rest, or just in my pocket. It hooks up to bluetooth anyway, so no need to access it.

Yup it is fine for calls certainly to just keep it put away but I do like to scan emails sitting at lights. Didn't know if there is some random accessory that I have not found that Porsche may have. I leave it on the seat but waiting for it to go flying.

I put mine between my legs so when I'm at a light I can stare at my crotch LOL! Seriously though, there just isn't a great place like the 997 center stack cubby at the bottom. Small price to pay considering all the things I do like better on the 991! My charger cord is long enough from the glove compartment (route it on left side so compartment closes) that it will reach my seat (between my legs) position too. And when not in use, I lay it between the front passenger seat and the center console. Improvise, adapt and overcome is the USMC motto!

I use the Kenu airframe mounted to the right center air vent. That way I can use Waze to keep an eye on the Mounties.

Door pocket, arm rest thing, or if short trip and no passenger, it sits nicely secured stuffed in between squab and side bolster on an 18-way seat... (◠‿◠)

You can scan emails on the PCM.

Why not carry zip ties in the car, and zip tie it to the rear view mirror? That way its in a place where its convenient to look at when your driving. I mean hell, decades of car manufacturing have concluded that dead center, top of windshield is a great place to place a mirror, so why not a cell phone? If your worried about losing the mirror's functionality, just turn on the front facing camera on the phone and it essentially acts as a mirror replacement!

Leave it in your pocket! That's the cool thing about Bluetooth and Porsche Entry & Drive. I don't have to take ANYTHING out of my pocket. Just put my hand on the door handle and walaa it opens, I sit right in and turn the ignition on and go. Have it set on comfort entry so the seat and steering wheel move to let me in and out. Simplify your life. And yes, you can read emails and even texts on PCM. I'm surprised people don't know this stuff!

love the entry and drive. I read a little about the txt part but missed the email part since I stopped reading the section since I realized I probably shouldn't be reading txts anyway and certainly not typing on the screen.
