the only bad thing about getting off topic attention, is that these threads are usually started by users. therefore the drama is limited. but clearly im entertained anyways.
I almost always use the top aft edge of the glass. This keeps it from jamming me in my rib cage, which it has done a bunch of times. A short wipe with the micro fiber towel in the driver's side door pouch takes care of the evidence when it concerns me....Chris
For those with black or brown cars or for any obsessive detailers out there, when you get out of your car after its nice and shiny and polished, where do you put your hand to close the door without getting fingerprints all over it?
I know it sounds silly, but I usually put my hand on the door handle, but it's a little farther to reach and you have to step completely out of the car and around the door so it feels more prosaic of a movement than normally necessary.
