I have noticed I have a small scratch on my dashboard that shows up white underneath. Guessing it was from the previous owner that had a dog but that is not the point. Any ideas on how the cover it up. Sounds stupid but would a black sharpie work to touch it up. Advice would be appreciated!

I wouldn't mess with it cuz you might make it worse. The guys at my local Bentley dealership were quite versed in dealing with blemishes in leather; you might try there if you have one near by. I have red interior in my car, and it has a small scratch in the leather portion of the glove box door. I am considering it as patina on a maturing classic....Chris

No Sharpie, that will make it worse.
Shoe polish works well.

Better yet! While roaming on a rural road at 100 +MPH today, my wife removed a small white dash blemish by sticking her finger in her mouth and polishing it profusely. It was removed. In awe, I slowed down to 90 MPH. My wife has the same constructive saliva we all have. Try it! It works.

If it is on a piece that can be replaced, maybe do that? OP is not too specific as to exactly where on the dash it is.

Let a pro do it, there are mobile services. This is not a difficult repair on either vinyl or leather, but you do need a skill set to make it un-noticeable. Most dealers of all car brands have a mobile independent repairman that comes to their lot once a week for this sort of thing, check with a dealer near you to see when the schedule might be (does not have to be a Porsche store).

It is not leather and it is above the glove compartment to the right of the chrono clock if you are in the drivers seat. Between the chromo clock and the glove compartment. Thanks all for your help!

leather and vinyl repairs use the same materials in restoration, no difference.

Ask your dealer who they use for repairs like this. My car had a 2" mark on the seat that was deffenitely through the outer layer. I think this portion of the seat is actually vinyl as well. The dealers guy colored and textured matched it- no one would ever know it was there.
