Hey Brad, are you planning to go to The Vintage with your '02? I'll be there with my '88 Henna M3.

No Vintage for me this year.

(But if I did I'd be sporting a Painters Tape Bra!)

If you are interested in a better photo opportunity with similar results that will not leave your car blue, try tracktape. 5 mil thick, clear and designed to be applied over a wrap, so easy to remove with no residue.

Blue tape was common in AX at the event last month. More for avoiding cone smudges. Prolly a great idea if you're going to XPel. XPel is great, looks the best compared to other films IMO and is really thick and durable. Saved the heck out of my wide body fender flares. Make sure you do your rockers and flares/wheel arches and rear under bumper.

Works great. Bought my car in San Diego and drove to Arizona. Used blue tape......had the sales manager actually helped put it on. They had never heard of it.

I would buy two identical cars. One for my garage and the other to drive.

FYI, the painter's tape worked perfectly. Not a single scuff, and although I drove a few hours in the rain all the tape stayed on. I should have taken a picture, but will do so next time. That was probably the best $7 investment I've ever made.

One small note is that you may get more attention than usual from our friends in blue.

I did it on my last three AX's. Works like a charm. Years ago before painters tape. We use to use duct tape. PITA getting the glue off.
