50th Annv? Club Coupe? Rennsport?
Before tomatoes are tossed; who cares, personal preference should rule and most of these cars have off-the-shelf "window dressing" features (sans 50th - gauges, seats, etc.), I wanted to ask a simple question;
Which car is more collectible? 50th Anniversary Manual, Club Coupe Manual, and or a Rennsport Manual?
PTS are all the rage right now, yet if you had to buy one car for investment reasons (I know, this questions frustrates the self declared purists), which one would you buy?
I personally will refuse to park my car and treat her like a painting and will add miles + smiles, but curious to read what people think..

My guess would be the 50th, particularly in Geyser. It's the one that seems most "special". The secondary market pricing seems to suggest that it is desirable and does not show the normal depreciation curve typical with 911s.
The other two are in more limited numbers but the Rennsport kind of feels just like a sticker job and the club coupe is for people who really like blue.😄

I cannot answer this thread as my answer will be too biased.
To go off topic a bit, I think the most collectable manual 911 is none of the above, but it is actually the 4.0RS, 3.8RS and 3.6RS.

I guess one way to think of it is if the three were placed in front of you and you had to pick one. Which would be the most popular choice?
It all comes down to looks in that they are essentially identical machines.

The one with the lowest production numbers. It will be 30 years before we know. If you want an investment grade 911, buy the stock (VLKAY) not the car. Buy and hold that for 20-30 years instead.

If you want to see how these will fare as an "investment" in 10 years, look at the 40th anniversary 911. If you want to invest in enjoyment, just buy whichever GTS you like the best and drive the snot out of it.

On the supply side the Rennsport wins, on the demand side i think the 50th holds an edge. Desirability plays a big part, and that I yet to really see in regards to the Rennsport.
I think the 50th is the more interesting and meaningful car of the three. PCA and a reunion car, versus one celebrating the marque's 50th......I know which one I'd take.

The 50th. Club Coupe has no badge # (IIRC). Of course, I'm a little biased...

My unbiased and scientific answer is the 50th. Particularly #1173. It's done 187 mph (301 kph) on the Autobahn so you know it's good. Here she is basking in the sun of the French countryside. :reckon:

I have a 50th (see the registry thread on top) but honestly I don't consider any of the three you mentioned as collectible. They made plenty of 50th and yeah, just look at how the 40th are trading now. Maybe 2-3 thousands more than a regular 996 S?
Club coupe and Rennsport are more scarce, but fundamentally just a paint/sticker combo thing.
A REAL collectible would be something like a CGT, 997 4.0 RS, 2.7 RS, 993 RS, 918 (maybe?), 911R (the way it's hyped up on EBay). Or any of the old ones Jerry Seinfeld has.
Get whichever you like out of the three. Drive the **** out of it. Enjoy it. Don't worry about the money. You may make a few bucks if you seal the car up in a can but even then they are not that worthwhile.
