if you want to know exactly what is going to be done, why not contact the repairs shop? Seems like you would get the exact information that you want.

Should have clarified - looking for a DIY solution. The last thing I'd want to do is call a business and waste their time if I wouldn't be a paying customer (in my case, I'm in Canada, shipping door panels to FL doesn't seem super practical)

This is a very reasonable price if it is truly a permanent fix and doesn't hinder the airbag deployment. Any other members have feedback or this repair?

This also seems to be a heat issue, the inside of the car gets hot from sitting out in a parking lot, etc., and the adhesives are letting go. I have has my panels replaced under warranty, but my CPO expires end of March. My plan right now is to open the windows somewhat when temps get higher in late spring and summer, to keep the internal cabin temperature down, and perhaps make sure its parked in the shade.

Has anyone tried just removing the panel and using fabric adhesive where the separation is occurring? Even if not permanent - isn’t that better than risking an airbag issue? Maybe I’m missing something.

The airbag on these cars comes out of the seats, so no risk there when replacing door panels.

decided to use different glue on driver aide and it disnt hold.
Now thinking of how I can remove residue from bad glue and go back to one that worked.
