reviving this post....i ordered these and I received the 55340CBN (apparently the newer version at 6200K). Before I break the seal of these or exchange it for the prev. gen (CBI), do these CBIs match better with the DRLs than the new CBN? Which is more pure white? (If there is anyone out there that has dealt with this)

i installed the Philips competitor to the Osram .
I think it made marginal difference - If I were to do it all over again, I wouldn't have bothered. That was $200 spent on very marginal gain. Stock HIDs are fine.

I think the bigger issue is the lens pitting issue. pitted lenses obstruct 20%+ of the usable designed light output.

Has anyone figured out if polishing helps pitted lenses (not the cracking)
