Default 992 GT3 Photos

Guys~ I just saw some new pictures of the upcoming gt3 this morning, gotta say that the car looks much better without that piece of satin film attached to its hood.

Here's the link: https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...py-shots-video

You guys may remember the first leak of the new GT3 from Porsche's commercial, well here I did some work in photoshop and made the car in one of those new shots have the same blue color.

Anyone appreciating my PS skills? lol

Great job! So what shade of blue is that?

*sigh* So how much for the lower front aero trim paint to match exterior option?

Yeah, no kidding. As it is, it looks like a huge fish mouth.

As it stands, this fish mouth is a bit smaller than the standard 992...so progress?

If the final car looks like this, what a disappointment. Both the front and back look way too busy with a ton of edges and lines coming out of nowhere.

Couldn't agree more. No more simplicity of lines/form. This particular photo encapsulates why I decided to go for a 991.2 instead of waiting out the 992:

Give it time. I ALWAYS reject the new 911 and specifically GT models and then they somehow grow on me, and most people that first reject them

That picture is not really a fair comparison. It sure looks to me like the 992 has a lot of cladding still on the rear end. Look how deep set the reflector and backup sensor are in the bumper. That's padding on top of the actual surface. That also adds a lot of lines and business to the design that won't be there when they take that off.

I'm withholding judgement until we see the final product.

Pretty sure that’s the RS. Their development has become so close knit now that it’s hard to differentiate which model is in the pipeline, or merely testing for a farther out release.

That being said, I’m of the opinion that these machines will be the last of a kind. Everything has become so finessed, efficient, convenient and comfortable with auto design. The GT models compensate with masculine power. We should cherish [and hopefully acquire] these mechanical beauties before emobility becomes the de facto.

Best,

Best,
based upon previous generations (which of course may not be applicable) this is not an RS - its missing the over wheel vents at the front and its missing the side vents/intakes that distinguished previous RS from base GT3 models...

still camouflaged I'd say ... after all the "swan neck" supports for the wing are still "wrapped" ... which they are not in the fuzzy superbowl teaser...

The metalwork looks different than a normal GT3, but we’ll see.

Plus, a lot of these captures are with very long lenses which can warp the dimensions.
