Don’t get me wrong, I never had a problem with the 991 interior. I was just addressing comments about it looking “dated”. It just never matched the times. There’s no doubt Porsche took short cuts updating it from the 997.

That video was a well-spent 40 minutes on a Saturday. Chris Harris cracked me up when he was going to pause AP from unwrapping the new 992 before he caught himself - don't let him change his mind!
The swan neck wing looks better than the mule version, but it would look *better* on a touring (as in, not there). Am I'm not convinced the 992 front and rear styling will grow on me as other prior models have over time. The blue color will likely crush a good number of alternative PTS blues - MUCH better hue than Miami. On the subject of PTS, the rumor I've heard is that Porsche is going to trim the number of PTS colors this time around. Doesn't matter to me, I'll be sticking with my 991.2.
If I was able to ask AP one question it would be: Why does the car have to keep getting bigger?

At least not enough to make sense to the bean counters.

I do. More room and cargo space is always great in an SUV, not so much in a sports car where weight affects feel and performance in major ways.

i) Ongoing stricter crash test requirements in different markets... i.e. requirements to withstand side and frontal impacts from higher speeds requiring more crumple zone.
ii) Chassis dynamics - eg. the 991 was made longer to reduce rear engine overhang (bring the engine forward), wider track has given recent generations significant advantage on track... Thus why NBR times have been dropping so rapidly despite increase weight.
As others have said, the GT platform inherits what the regular 911 line requires to tick the boxes

Having a larger diameter rear wheel increases the amount of rubber that contacts the road along the axis of the vehicle which increases your acceleration potential. Especially true with rear engine cars.....i.e. only 911s.
You may have to read that a couple times to understand. Imagine a wheel 10 feet in diameter.......it will have more rubber on the road (even at the same width) along the axis of the car. I agree that 21 inches vs 20 inches wont make that much of a difference.....but the difference is greater than zero.
