992 GT3 Touring Waiting Room
Based on today's release, who else is opting for the touring package? The new GT3 winged version is too busy for me and I was wanting a touring anyway.
Here's some options I'm hoping for
-Sports design package? Hoping they have other options for the front and rear bc a touring does not need all that downforce the winged GT3 requires.
-Back seats maybe??
Let the wait begin!

I’m checking in the waiting room. Only thing I want in the touring are back seats. If the touring doesn’t get back seats then I’ll go with the regular full winged version!

Hoping Touring to be a GT3 that is more dailyable/streetable and hence more convenience options that Porsche has available in their 911 lineup:
- Back seats
- Surround view cameras
- Ventilated seats on 4way/18way sofas

IMHO, the Touring will be the way to go with the 992 GT3. The new rear wing is just a bit too much for me. The exterior feels a bit more like an in between of a GT3 and GT3 RS.
But I doubt we will see an option to spec a Touring model until at least end of summer. The live event today definitely made it seem that they are in no rush to discuss it and seem to be more focused on making PTS a reality by summer time.

Sounds like you folks need regular 911’s.

Some of us prefer the driving experience of the GT cars, enjoy more subtle exterior styling, and don’t really care about lap times.
I’ve enjoyed my winged 991 GT3 but would prefer a Touring if given the option for this new generation.

Just put my deposit down today at MSRP. My dealers GM is a real stand up guy and takes care of the locals.
I have zero idea what I’ll end up ordering but he said if I go winged GT3 expect delivery in about 12 months based on the list.
if back seats are an option in the Touring then I’ll wait for that. And definitely manual.

If they continue this design language in the future, then the only GT car I will consider would be a Touring.
