Default Car insurance

So Nationwide, the insurance company I use for my family cars, has denied any ability to cover the gt3 due to "price and speed"... They say it's "on a list" of cars they won't insure.

Who should I go through? Hagerty? Any ideas? I obviously want to do an agreed upon value insurance plan.

Maybe try Costco or AAA or Hagerty as you suggest.

That's crazy that they won't insure it though. I guess their number crunchers have determined that they will for sure lose money on insuring the GT3.

AIG private client, NJM or Amica.

Not sure where you are located, but if Porsche Auto Insurance is available, check them as well.

I was bored over the weekend and checked USAA and Geico, both provided very reasonable online quotes to add the GT3 onto my existing policies.

Segue on this since most of you have more experience.

if the GT3 is gonna be used only on weekend (limited miles) and on track and not used daily is it better to use an insurance that also has track day coverage?
is it better to have one policy for low mileage use and then purchase track coverage only for days at the track?

After totaling my 18 GT3 my renewal was $6500/yr. It was $1000/yr. My incoming 718 GT4 will be $1200/yr. A bit strange.

Check out Pure Insurance. I shopped around and Pure had better rates than USAA! I filed two claims within 2 months of my Pure policy (son had a wreck and I had a crack in my windshield on the 720) and had no significant change in my rate. Great company to work with!

Pure quoted me 4K/yr to add the GT3 (I have 4 cars with them, homeowners, umbrella, and zero claims). Feels high. I will be shopping around.

I use Chubb as well for everything including race cars (while in garage and on trailers). They seem to "get it".

Beware PURE - had a bad experience with them after 5+years as a customer. Hagerty and AMICA have my cars now, and Berkshire for home.

Heaven help any Geico customers who actually have to make a claim ...
