Car is en route and dealer called trying to get me to pay ADM

That’s some shady stuff. Sorry to hear that. Do you have anything in writing that they were going to sell you the car at MSRP? Signed sales order for example? My sales order states the agreed upon price.

I'm actually really worried about this as mine is enroute also (to PEC-ATL though). I have an agreed upon price at MSRP in writing. My dealership has always been upfront and honest with me through two other buying experiences. I have a Ford Bronco on order as well and some dealers are doing just this and actually selling the cars for a huge ADM and not even telling the buyer.

This makes me sick to the stomach....I have been waiting 6 months - 3 months searching for an allocation, have a written agreement with my SA....are they really going to change this on you??? Did you talk to the GM? Unreal. I'm no one special, but to wait almost a year for a car and for them to do something like this...to me, I will walk and leave the brand I have been with for 30+ years. That's the last straw in my book.

It sucks. I feel for ya. But you don't have a contract and there's nothing to keep you from walking and there's nothing to keep the dealership from selling to someone else or changing the price. Gotta get these things in writing... it's business. Gentleman's agreements don't mean anything.

Don't know what state you are in or what the emails say but I would be shocked if a court found in your favor. But wish you the best of luck

If you went from "minding your business", to having one of the most desirable cars on the planet being delivered to you soon, in 4 months, you are more fortunate than someone who put a deposit down in April of 2019, for a less desirable car, and still hasn't been called to place an actual order, and may not, if recent production rumors are true. Just one perspective.
That said, handle your business, and get that last minute mark-up removed. Or sell the allocation for $1 more than the ADM.

The dealer can do what they want and are allowed to change as they see fit. You are buying a market price item at present.

Sorry to hear about this, I hope you get your car at MSRP.
Just curious: Did your SA let you know what the ADM was?
