Default FAL on 992 worthless...

I'll make this short. 991.2 to 992 have totally different approach angle and clearance. Brake ducts, which were 80% of the scraping on the 991.2 are now on the control arms of the 992 and don't raise anymore. Biggest issue is that when you lift the front, you now scrape the rear fins on the diffuser.

FAL is actually more effective on 992, but yes, rear diffuser needs an angle. I laugh at how easy the front is to avoid but rear diffuser is the new headache hahaha

I had my concrete curb cut, but without the FAL I wouldn't get into my own driveway so.. I guess to each their own, because it works great for me!

^this 100% and TBH, if you approach it right, FAL off, rear is ok and front can be finessed The rear scraping is 1000 times worse in my mind.

So in your opinion should FAL be avoided in the 992 ? Since it's not cheap, adds a fair bit of weight and is an additional item that could break on the car ?

I'm sure some day we'll hear someone cracking the rear diffuser if one is careless enough and does the scraping at speed or at an angle.

So is there an actual loss of clearance on the rear diffuser when FAL is at its max of 40mm higher ?

Is this a reason to avoid FAL ?

It is basic physics. You lift the front, the rear behind a pivot point (rear tires) will lower.

I remember when my GT3RS was being offloaded from the private enclosed trailer, the driver would not raise the FAL and said the rear diffuser will not survive if he did (speaking from experience).
