Leather A/C vents - anyone order them?
#18
I have them in my Speedster which was a dealer spec, I would have never ordered. Looks good but never pay attention to it.

I have max everything in my 2RS speced by dealer. I don’t order the extra trim stuff when I order them. Doesn’t change my enjoyment. YMMV.

Personalized Air Vent Surrounds and Slats in Leather shows twice in the configurator....once for $2350 and also for for $1800...confused...can't find a difference, anybody knows?

Looks awesome. I 'need' those!!
On my 991 touring, it was a last minute option box tick... but glad I went with them. Each to own as you say but I think it finished off the interior nicely, particularly given exposed between leather top and bottom.. This time, I've ticked the extended leather and contrast stitch...... Went alllll the options Ill report back in a few months if a waste...!
991 touring / leather, black stitch and painted chalk slats.

I did most leather and stitch upgrades OEM, and enjoy the Speed Yellow pop against my “demure” Black.Slate interior. I’ve added a few extras the factory didn’t offer too - didn’t go CXX.
On the fence about doing the air vents deviated yellow as today they are just blacked out and not sure you need to call attention to them - but everyone gets to decide on THEIR interior!

I did everything, everything is covered in leather plus additional leather from Exclusive. The vents are very subtle on the 992 unless you opt for something other than black. However with that being said, I feel the added texture is apparent and adds to the interior.

I have it spec'd currently but agree... it may not be as important in the 992.
Fwiw, i had zero regrets in a previous 991 GT car....and quite likely the only reason i checked the box this time around.

The stitching on the center lower vent goes all down the sides so both driver and passenger will see it on the 992. Some details on 991 are better and some are better on 992. Just removes some of the cheap black plastic especially since everything else is either Carbon, Leather or Alcantara. Either way it all comes down to personal taste. Not going to break the bank or have a real impact on resale (if that's important to you).

I am sure all of it was available Cxx, but I didn't want to delay my order additionally - I waited 17 months! Rear tie downs, rear speaker grills, front speakers....
