Reached out to my detailer about ClearGuard Alpha. He said it has great clarity but has not been known for it's longevity as compared to XPEL. @Premier Can you comment?

We started using their products (Prestige Film Technologies: www.prestige-films.com) in 2010 and was the 1st company to produce a matte ppf. Here is reference to us posting this Satin Guard project on a 2010 Turbo:

ClearGuard Nano, which was the version at that time in 2010 and has undergone several gens like all of the major manufacturers and all have only gotten better with their tech. ClearGuard Alpha was upgraded in 2020.

Rarely do our customers need to replace the product, but when they do it is usually because of an accident or minor mishap like scraping the front bumper. FYI, we used to be an Xpel Dealer before moving over to Prestige (from 2005 - 2011ish). Both manufacturers make good products, but we work on some very expensive hypercars / supercars, so clarity of the product is very important. Some people will not notice the gloss / clarity of the finish, but we certainly do....so it can be subjective and down to each person's acuity to these details.

Have any quantitative data that demonstrates the differences between these films?

just visuals to show the difference. Clearguard has the clearest finish, which is why we use it. We regularly work on hypercars, so we need the glossiest and clearest ppf.

Hey there. Great install and video. Do you happen to have any photos or video of the hood after the vent bezels were removed?

Could be Maritime Blue. Just wanted to say that I love ClearGuard Alpha - it's an amazing film.

I will take Riviera Blue or Mexico Blue for $200.

Is that your new Lambo Huracan STO in the back on the right?
So glad you had the patience to get it specc'd the way that you wanted.

You might be able to support a Formula 1 team with all of that carbon fiber my friend!
