I must have hit the back glass jackpot.
I drive this car in 105+ heat on track and put down 2:20 flat at COTA back-to-back.
No issues at all.

I opened my car today in Florida and it was tight to open. The glass cracked. Drivers side door glass. Nothing big so just went straight to my dealer. I told him of light weight glass issues he said he would call the regional guy Monday. I ll let you know my findings.

I find it very concerning that after more than a year and lots of cases, there doesnt seem to be any technical bulletins from Porsche or inclination to address the problem systemically. Leads me to believe either one of the two statements is true:
- This is not something easy to address and is an engineering/design problem of the car. Perhaps the chassis stiffness/front suspension do not cooperate well with the glass put in the cars. This basically means a redesign of the glass from scratch, very costly.
- Porsche does not have the manpower (due to post covid workforce environment) to attend to this issue and other similar issues (such as brake pad performance which has been widely documented but Porsche is lip tight on this as well).
This is unlike the Porsche we came to know. Times have changed unfortunately.

Have you guys opened a case with NTSB (or whatever the government institute is that tracks systematic automotive issues)? If not, I would do it. If 30-40 cases are filed, someone from the manufacturer will have get into the details.

i just got my second windshield crack last weekend at Sebring
no stones ever hit the glass, just after first session on the pits i actually saw it cracking from top frame all the way down
dealer said it could be change for the standard 992 glass but it will automatically void the warranty
my question was " the current warranty doesnt even cover this spontaneous cracks!", no words yet
