Porsche is officially denying my claim (door glass spidering), car has 3600 miles on it, not tracked. Has anyone had any luck with escalating this through Porsche customer care?

My claim has also being denied, they said the car has been driven too hard lol!!!

I lodged a formal complaint with PCNA. 3-5 business days for a reply.

I still dont understand how the windows of other 911s such as TTS isnt cracking like this but just the GT3. Is it because of the suspension? Or is it due to body panels that are unique to GT3 not having enough clearance?

There is a lightweight glass option in 911s as well that you can spec separately or it is part of the lightweighting package. I have seen a TTS with it and it had gorilla glass similar to my RS. I m not sure if that package’s lightweight glass and the GT3 are different types of lightweight glass.

Why would you grab the door by the window?

Not sure. Probably a combination of the lightweight glass and stiffer suspension of the GT3 but there are now 27 unique posters over these two threads that this has happened to.

I’m 99.999% sure it’s not the suspension…

I know of one other who hasn't posted and my local dealer told me they had a customer that had cracked glass replaced three times on his GT3.

What did it catch on? I'm assuming the trim due to misalignment of the window over time?

I always use the glass to close the door. Even on previous GT3 and rsq8 which was frameless. Hand prints on the door drive me insane.
