I did it on my Spyder and it didn’t effect the sensor, as it is mounted before the OPF. Didn’t do it on my GT3 yet, but must say, I have been thinking about it.

For other's ease, here is the video linked into this post. It starts at 12:15. Looks easy to do yourself. They opened up the OPF and dug out the material. I can't imagine that removing this material would not improve Horsepower in some way. It's like a marathon runner wearing a covid mask.

Wouldn't the engine have been tuned for the backpressure generated by the OPF material? I'd expect a remap to be necessary to unlock hp/tq gains.

Would have liked to have heard it without OPF material and stock muffler.

ECU probably would adjust, like it can for altitude.

Thanks, Sub. Two questions:

1) I wonder what this does to any cabin drone?
2) Cell phone for lady in yoga pants and red top, asking for a friend?

on the GT4 they are monitored in the EU and there's a nipple on the GPF for the sensor - the North American versions do not have the sensor so removing them is fine (for the ECU). Probably the same for the GT3 which is why that guy didn't report a CEL. So if the shop is speaking from experience, which car did they work on that threw the code?

No idea. I wish the guy would have commented on that point, any ECU impacts, and performed a before and after dyno etc.
