Yeah, it is definitely the electronic brake booster. Not concerned with it. I have 3k+ miles and a few track days and the car is phenomenal. The ticking gets annoying but its only really loud when against a wall and I’ll take it in exchange for how incredible this car is overall.

So the update on this is to replace your pads with aftermarket pads. Several of us owners have replaced them with Ferodo 2500's, and the rubbing and 'electronic' noise is completely gone. Make sure you pick the right Ferodos for the front, and the back (different SKU). It is NOT the brake booster (as I thought), but it is directly related to the brake pads that are subpar compared to the 2500's.

that are amazing news. How are these pads in terms of noise/squeal and dust?
are the SKU's these?

Yes these are the SKUs you need. The DS2500 is quiet but will dust a bit. I am still trying to understand this phenomenon myself but I think it must come down to the chamfer on the OE pads vs the chamfer Ferodo puts on the DS2500 pads. I have had a few calls on this now in just the past week and the DS2500 seems to solve it. I also have numerous customers on the DS3.12 who haven't mentioned the noise either, so again I think it comes down to the chamfers. Please note that the DS2500 is really only suited for street/canyon driving or light track duty in these cars. They are not up to the task of heavy track usage, and you will almost certainly exceed the temperature threshold on track. These cars are too fast. Again, the DS3.12 would be better suited on track.

My drive is 100% road/town so hopefully will solve the 2 problems that drove me crazy last 3 months since owning the car
today said dealer that what they couldn't find for weeks is the pads and they said they don't believe and must be something else corrected my coincidence during pads change

That was my thought initially but it sounds like other dealers have swapped rotors and pads (with OE) and the sound remained. Some have also checked runout on the disc but I'm not sure hubs have been checked yet. Perhaps a bad batch of hubs made it to assembly? Unlikely but who knows. Very strange. The fact that the sound is intermittent suggests there is a high spot/runout on the disc, not an issue with the pads. The calipers are also the same as the 991 GT3s, which don't have this problem. New pads seems to solve it though...

I see in Europe not so easy to buy these ferodo. Curious if 991.2 pads would solve the same way

They might solve it but can't say for certain, perhaps others can chime in. If you are interested in the Ferodos I ship globally and can likely quote you a good price. Send me a pm with your address if interested.

Correct, they fit but as to whether the 991.2 pads will solve this issue specifically I can't say.

Default Anybody thought about lemon?

Has anyone considered having their car lemmomed? I like in California and it’s my daily drive. Been back and forth to the dealer with no solution. Can’t replace the pads without voiding the warranty. The noise is too much for me to handle after spending this kind of money on a performance car that sounds like it’s broken.

The fix for this is so simple.
change the pads to after market and you are all set.
