not sure that is the reason in my opinion but I may try to release the clutch faster. I drive the same though so it should not be the reason. so today it got worse. not just a choking when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, braking and then throttling back up. that did happen again today but it also just completely had ZERO throttle in second and then again downshifting to 1st. Zero throttle. Gotta take it in. Very odd. Only at a little over 3,000 miles.

I prefer not to use auto blip as well so it is a bit disheartening. I am taking mine to dealer for a diagnostic.

I’ll let the OP chime in but he said it didn’t help with the specific problem.

Maybe this was put in place to save the clutch/flywheel.

Hey sorry guys, been MIA. So Dr. G was kind enough to send me the sprint booster, no improvement. At this point I’m thinking it is the no lift shift that’s causing this issue. The ecu doesn’t allow for a manual throttle blip unless the clutch is fully depressed and even then, it was to be a very and deliberate action. I owned several bmws and Porsches, mostly M and GT cars and have never had a hesitation like this with the throttle. I think the car thinks we’ll be shifting into the next gear and it’ll will be while the throttle pedal is being depressed for the no lift shift and so it’s not allowing the engine throttle to rise above where it needs to be. If you leave auto blip on, you should notice that the ecu is constantly intervening with the throttle to make up shifts and down shifts perfectly smooth. While it’s nice to have that perfect shift every time, I honestly don’t see this platform allowing for crisp heel toeing. If there is a way to code out the no lift shift, I’d be ready to try it.

Same here, I had a 991.2 before and the 992 works the same for me.

@tareemaa any update on this experience? My Touring may have a similar issue ... has Porsche duplicated it? Any Regional help from their experts?

Just noticed it for the first time a couple weeks ago. It doesn't happen open and it always seems to be at a low RPM only under 20 MPH or so.

yes, that is what has been happening. It creates a situation in which i preferred to drive it with auto blip on which does take away from the experience unfortunately. I would turn it off every time in drove the car to see if it was consistent, it is. The way the car and ecu is set up, I don't think it will allow a great heel toe experience.
