Throttle response delay on 6MT
When I’m driving and slowing down and go to down shift and blip the throttle, there is a delay or utter lack of response, I jab the throttle and nothing happens.
So I’m still breaking my motor in, so I thought this was an issue of perhaps the run in tune which would be alleviated once run in is complete, but then I was watching a throttle house video today and one of the guys mentions the same exact issue, so I’m wondering if anyone out there has noticed this, I hate it and it’s making me keep the auto blip on which I wish I didn’t have to do.

No delay here. What rev range are you in when driving and down shifting?

I have felt it only when the car is warming up & it’s in normal mode. After 190 it’s perfect. I start my car and let it warm up almost every time and drive in sport mode.

Start car. Put on seat belt, sunglasses, adjust HVAC, let motor come off high idle (about 75 seconds) and drive off. Keep below 4k rpm till oil hits 180.

Actually just learned this exact same protocol from a master engine builder of flat 6's who is very well known. Basically dont let car warm at idle sitting.

Not during warm up. Car is warm, I turn off auto blip, and when I’m driving and I attempt a downshift, the engine doesn’t respond to my throttle input.
I don’t idle to warm it, start it up, let it finish the cat heat cycle, and off I go, just don’t over rev until until she’s up to temp.

The auto-blip works great if you can train your brain to not lift at all. Decades of muscle memory can be tough to overcome though, and even modest lifting on the throttle makes for a less smooth shift. Maybe it is somewhat related to this feeling of a little initial play in the throttle. Hopefully, somebody more knowledgeable and articulate can take from here...

It is very annoying, literally no power.
