Default Visiting Porsche's Development Center - Weissach

I'm heading to Europe today for a couple of weeks which of course will include 3 days in Stuttgart. I was wondering if Porsche offers any tours or has a visitor Center at their Weissach facility. They develop their GT cars and build their top end motor sports cars here. It also has a development track. Picture below.

I've been to the Zuffenhausen factory and museum multiple times so I'm really interested in doing something different. Any ideas? I know it is a long shot and I've never heard of any "tourist" visiting their Weissach facility. I'll be there Jul 15th - 18th.

Wenn es irgendwelche Weissach-Mitarbeiter gibt, die dies lesen (und ich weiß, dass es welche gibt), senden Sie mir eine PN, wenn Sie mir eine kurze Tour besorgen können. Vielen Dank.

Could be wrong but unless you are VVIP, not just VIP, I doubt it would be possible. Especially considering they just started re-opening factory tours in Zuffenhausen due to covid

That being said when I'm in the area I still drive up to Weissach just to putter around. Didn't see anything notable this year, but in 2018 I caught a fleet of camo Taycans driving out of Weissach area

It looks like you have a ton of experience doing ED! How did you compare the delivery of PEC - ATL versus picking up in Europe? We just did ED for 2022 Macan GTS and it was awesome! Wondering how the other options compare to know what to pick for our eventual GT3.

Others have more experience with ED. I'd name them but I think they want to lay low. I've done EDs in Leipzig and Stuttgart and a PEC delivery in Atlanta for my 992 GT3. The biggest difference between PEC and ED is the post delivery driving. Much better in Europe with the autobahn and the alps and just the fact that you are in a foreign country. I found the actual delivery of my car was better at PEC. They really did make you feel special. Every person I interacted with at PEC congratulated me from the security officer at the front gate, to the waiter at the restaurant, the driving instructor and the actual delivery was better than ED too. It costs nothing to do this either - just pure class. Better presentation overall at PEC. This is my opinion of course.

ED gives you the factory tour at both locations, the museum at Zuffenhausen or track time at Leipzig. Stuttgart of course is the Mecca which is where our cars are built.

You can't go wrong with any of them. I'd never get a Porsche without a special delivery somewhere. It just adds to the overall ownership experience.

Well, I just got back from Stuttgart with no luck trying to get into Weissach (as expected). Apparently Weissach is harder to get into than Area 51 with all the secrets being developed there. The closest I got was spending an afternoon at the fish festival in Stuttgart drinking beers with a security guard at the Zuffenhausen factory who previously built Macan engines. I could think of worse ways to spend an afternoon. He was originally from Italy, so we ended up debating which company made the better sports cars, Porsche, Lamborghini or Ferrari.

I was impressed that someone pretty low on the totem pole had such positive things to say about his employer.. He said Porsche was one of the best companies to work for in Germany and paid well with great benefits. They treated him well.

Anyway, here is a pic of a cool roof top bar we found in Stuttgart equipped with sand and palm trees.

P.S. I won the debate.

It appears to be inside the main gate? So guessing that is no for access?
