Nope, it’s a waste of money. You tell me what you are avoiding damaging with buying it and you made no mention of damaged rear fins

Hey Everyone!
I have a 992 GT3 allocation and going through the specs. Just thought I’d ask the crowd here if there are any must have options based on your experience. Some of my specs are:
Let me know what y’all liked that you ordered!
Thanks,

- 18 ways (I’m 6’11 so buckets don’t work for me)
- extended range
- matrix headlights in black
- FAL
- manual
- PCCBs
- Carbon roof and mirror uppers

I researched about carbon roof yellowing over time and while I didn’t find any complains about Porsche, there were complaints with other brands. Just don’t want to have this issue down the road.
FAL is a must, it allows you to save locations and lifts automatically!
One great feature on 992 GT3 with 18-way seats, which I don’t think I read anywhere else, is the ability to remotely move the passenger seat with driver seat buttons. You enable it through the PCM. Have only seen this feature on Range Rover Autobiography and Mercedes S-Class, never on any sports car. I’m not saying anyone needs it in a GT3 but it was a pleasant surprise. If you’re tracking you obviously need the buckets.
Hope this helps

Burning Brakes
LOL - I get it, it is important to you - but for me for example, I have never had to use it on neither my TTS (which I still own), or my GT3 - so can it be handy, SURE - is it a MUST have - absolutely not... unless your drive way is super steep.

Agreed!! Was on my first 997 GT3 and failed like 4 times, didn’t get it on my 997.2 RS or 991.2 GT3 and would never order it especially on the 992 GT3. The issue on the 992 GT3 FAL is now when it’s activated on a driveway or what have you, the rear lowers and the rear fins are closer to the ground and get damaged.
Same problem the GT4RS will have with FAL.....on the 718 GT4 you scrape more the diffuser than the front lip

I have the FAL on my 992 gt3 because I have a steep driveway. But I don’t remember ever needing besides my driveway.
Coming home, the GPS remembers the setting and the front lifts automatically which is very nice. When I leave I lift the front end and when I’m half way across the steep part, I have to lower the front end or the rear diffusers scrape… definitely a hassle and trade off. It might be easier to just scrape the plastic front lip and replace it later for $2-300.

Had FAL on my 991.2 GT3 and 991.2 GT3RS... used less than 5 times in combination. Ordered my 992 GT3 without! These cars are not that low, and the front tires very far forward... drive on an angle as you normally would any low profile sports car and you should be fine. If you have some crazy mountain for a driveway entrance, than you may need it. But I think it's purely preference, and may have more to do with where you live/drive.
Only Must have's are Extended Fuel Tank realistically. The rest all subjective. Congrats on your allocation!
Best regards,
Dave

Don't let anyone talk you out of FAL, its almost stupid to not order it for your use, you'll never feel the difference between having it or not dynamically and or for resale and it absolutely has a negative effect for this car. After that, mostly personal preference, but Id suggest doing the full leather interior instead of standard just because of the price point these are hitting, as well as the Bose sound system. PCCB's tend to bring the money back on the other side, numbers wise as well, but wouldn't be a requirement more as a strong preference for them vs without them by many. Enjoy the heck out of the car!
