Put me in the camp of center locks are stupid. The problem I have is that it is one of the rare things on a GT3 which is form over function. The only place CL is (maybe) advantageous is in endurance racing but if you're racing endurance, you're racing a cup car, not a street car that looks kinda like a racecar. So you have to deal with the PITA of crazy torque needs, that GD paste, brakes, etc and you get no real upside other than they look cool. Plus, god help you if you get a flat tire on the road - the only place that'll take the wheels off is a Porsche dealer in most areas.

But what really kills me is when people with GTSes order them with CLs, that's just the worst IMO.

IMO 20s and 21s are stupid too - and used for the same reason as CLs

Nothing on the DMC website about the conversion. Photoshop? A friend of mine just converted his 991.1 GT3 to 5-lug, but with the new front end I doubt the same parts would work on the 992.

Really? That will be a shame if it were just a rendering.

CL's on a street car are the dumbest thing since I've seen in decades. Makes total sense in racing only.

Dig a little deeper in that DMC website.....
I question quite a bit; looks a lot like label pasting to me.
Have you seen his videos?

I have a Hytorq tool. CL are crazy easy. Use a zip lock bag and some gloves for the paste. It’s just super easy.

How often you get a flat on the road and you have a spare with you?

Changing out my 4 wheels by myself takes about 12 min. Doubt lugs is that much faster.

So a nearly $6k tool, gloves, ziplocks - all that inconvenience and expense and you get what in return? It looks cool?

As for a flat on the road, it's not about a spare. it's about you have to get flat bedded and if you don't live near a Porsche dealer (which applies to lots of people outside of major metro areas), you've got a big charge for a long *** tow to get to one. None of the major tire shops arounds me (Los Angeles) will work on cars with CLs, I would assume that's a pretty common problem in other areas as well.

Actually, yes. I keep the tool in my frunk, totally prepared for a wheel/tire issue 100% of the time. And a $6k tool for a car that costs what it does - just didn’t seem like a big deal to me.

It’s so hard to find a shop that will work on centerlocks in Los Angeles.

Is this really where we are going with this fake outrage now? Most GT3 owners drive 500 miles a quarter and apparently live on an island surrounded by screw factories.

Some of y’all are literally worse than EV owners with range anxiety.

since I got my gts with Centerlocks I have gotten 3 screws in my Tahoe and zero in the gts, love Nashville housing construction. Zero concern about dealing with a flat.
