Long road trip, what to bring?
Long road trip I have planned for the end of May. Going to see grandpa. Haven't seen my family on that side in years, and I gotta show him the lava beast.
That being said... Why am I frightened to take this car on a multi-state drive? I'm partly planning this to get out of the "expensive car" mindset. I mean, look at the market, there's literally no reason for me not to drive this car lol.
Anyway. I figure I need to make sure I have the center lock attachment(for who tho, lol?). Probably a small 12v compressor, spray for popped tire. What else should I bring?
Also, I forget how long roadside is good for. I'll have owned the car for 2 years this August.
Oh yea, ear plugs for the interstate lol.

I was also going to suggest ear plugs first, lol.
Even if you are hundreds of miles away from the first Porsche dealer, I would still not resort to using the spray but instead would have it flat bedded there.
Bring a cooler that plugs in the cigarette lighter, paper maps (just in case) and an itinerary that includes fun drives wherever possible.
Good sunglasses and a pair of back-up sight glasses if you wear any.
A bag with some quick shine detailer product and some microfiber towels.
A quart or two of engine oil in case you need a top off.
You favorite snacks… and a great music playlist.

What i carry:
Jack
Renntorq
https://renntorq-llc.square.site/pro...lock-tool-v2/2
Safety seal plugs (the best)
Milwaukee 12v compressor dont count on one that runs off the car battery as it drains fast'
You dont want to be in the situation where the good news is you got the tire pumped up but the bad news you cant start the car because the battery is dead from inflating it .
Dont ask me how i know!
Portable jump starter
Tire sealer
1/2" torque wrench
Some people think its over kill but I cant forget the one lesson i learned in the boy scouts"always be prepared"

Man you guys are much kinder to these things than I am. Flat bedding? No thanks. I will enjoy the Km. Even the boring ones. I treat all cars the same lol. I drove my GT3 from Ontario to Georgia with just my wife, plug kit, and duffels. I'm also the guy who puts a dog in his gt3 though so don't mind me.

This is hilarious to me, I mean it’s not like you’re driving to a third world country. You need some cash, credit card, radar detector and figure out what hotel has decent parking. Doubtful you will get a flat, statistically speaking odds are less on a highway than around town.

Nice replies. I will bring jerky for sure.
There's no dealers in my state, nor the state I'm driving to, nor within 8 hours when I'm at the destination.
The fact of the matter is, I can't just flatbed this car for 12 hours on a whim if it gets a flat or something breaks that actually matters for running the car. So, yes, it's really something I do need to consider. I'll basically have to rent a flatbed if something goes wrong unless it's a pluggable tire or something simple. And flatbeds might not be available, if that happens my car will be stuck for days? Not sure what roadside would do for me then.
Aannnnd for the record, my dealer had my engine out for 6 weeks as there was a defective valve in my car last summer. So, **** happens.
