Very noticeably - I can remember when Porsche couldn't sell 997 GT3s, Top Gear made them fashionable with the 997 GT3 RS, they became very easy to drive in 991 form and easier again in 992 form - to the point where they're not interesting.

Have you really driven a 991 or 992 in anger on the racetrack?? If properly driven it is very rewarding and not "very easy" to drive...they are way faster than a 997 GT3 RS (even the 4.0) and will demand 110% of your attention if pushed to the limit..

I have deleted my reply to be polite - and the answer is yes and then some.

Still own 991.2 GT3 RS, never bettered my PB in that car with the 992 GT3. Porsche have become technically proficient and at the same time boring and their most enjoyable car is a Cayman.
Does that mean, then, that you're not a fast driver?

Wouldn’t be a bad idea if there was a new one. Less than 5% of these posts are actually on topic 🙄

That's a high water mark for RL threads.

Not too shabby, but to be fair the 992 GT3 was a friends car and I didn't ride the rumble strips out of common decency. But to Mootys point, the 992 GT3 and 992 generation cars are easy to drive quickly and as a consequence, if you really like to push they become a little less interesting.

My view is the 991.2 GT3 RS got the balance about right, good communicative front end and lots of feedback close to the limit all round. The 992 GT3 improved the front end over the 991.2 GT3 and it needed to - lot of understeer on the 991.2 GT3 if pushed hard. I don't like the rack rate on the 992 GT3, feels like a change to give the illusion of more feedback but on rough roads it just makes it unnecessarily fidgety.

The stop sale appears to be a nasty and ill founded rumour.
