V210 adding option
Asking for a friend. Car was at v200 & now v210 & dealer has been trying to add one option. Mentioned the car kicks back into v100 & risks delaying car if they persist. The option is for racetex sun visors of all things.
Is there a PCNA contact or history of someone on the ‘inside’ that can sneak an option in without issue if given the commission number? Can just buy a set off Suncoast but I guess they’re like 5x the cost on that option.

Not worth going back to V210 imo. If it was something big like PTS becoming available, PCCB's or one of the larger options then I could see making the change. But not for freaking visors.

Edit: wow! Just noticed the price from Suncoast, they have gone way up over the years... :-(

Go to a custom upholstery shop they’ll get it done much easier and cheaper.

Apparently when it was in v200 (before freeze date), they weren’t able to add. They ended up pushing it through without the option in hopes to add later. Porsche must have a shortage of visors 🤷🏼♂️

Yeah, I heard about the same issue with Racetex Sun Visors two weeks ago by a gentleman at my local dealership that got a GT3 allocation for a build later this Summer. The sun visors literally prevented his build from going through. Once he changed them, it was smooth sailing.
Do Not Go Back to V200 just because of sun visors. Its just not worth it. This car is phenomenal!
Reach out to Frank at Exclusive Option in Berkeley. Im sure he'll be able to offer you some options on how to proceed.
I bought some new sun visors from him (without the stupid yellow stickers) that were made of very high quality leather and came with my GT Silver Stitching.
Am very happy with the quality and workmanship!

It's interesting to note that the supply chain issues have moved from elecrionic components like semiconductor chips that put stop orders on Matrix headlights to interior parts like seats and sun visors.
Going forward, I can imagine that all models across the board will continue to see price increases based not on just raw material prices, but "paying up" for suppliers who are able to get Porsche the materials they need without interruption. As more and more suppliers to Porsche (and other auto manufacturers) continue to disappoint, this will place further inflationary pressures on manufacturers whereby they pay dedicated suppliers a premium to lock-in exclusive contracts. - - - So you wind up having upward (inflationary) price pressure not from demand, but from lack of supply.

I can confirm my build locked 4/27/23 and had V100 Feasibility Check Failed because of stop sale on race-tex visors.
I was able to change colors on a V200 car last year 3 days after lock. Sales manager contacted corporate with no delays.

Did build yesterday with SA and have V200 paperwork. When we started, the SA noted the visor issue! But I encountered a different stop order item. Surprisingly it was the black GT3 sticker that goes on both doors. How is it possible not to have a stick-on item? Removed from build and order was approved. Waiting on email confirmation.
