Factory PPF for US cars?
I have searched online and through the forums, and can't seem to get a definitive answer.
For US GT3s (MY2024), does the "Protection Film - Front" for $2.6k get done at Porsche factory? Or once at the dealership?

Does it really matter? Its precut and not the best install. You can do better.

They’re all pre-cut. IIRC, they’re using XPEL and their DAP software.
There was another member that took delivery recently that had it done at factory, and is super happy with it.
Of you actually plan on driving the car, it’s a wear and tear item. Personally, I’d rather have it done locally to address warranty issues. But if doing ED, I’d check the boxes.

It is done at factory not dealer
unless they changed how they do it recently, I have seen several cars done at factory, the job is fairly poor
also , when done locally , you have the warranty on it , not sure that will be the case using the factory and being in another country

I had it done on my 2023 GT3 and I'm happy with their work (my local PPF installers aren't very good). I believe it was done at the port. I was asked if I wanted the option added before they scheduled my PEC Atlanta delivery date and the car was already on a ship headed to Jacksonville so it couldn't have been done at the factory.

If Euro Delivery, done at EXPL in Stuttgart.
If US delivery done at Port
if PEC done at PEC
Its a precut kit, the ED one is done very well. They dont wrap around the edge, but just slightly over it on some places. I have it and had one of the best PPF installers in the country tell me it was done very well and for a pre cut kit, they could not do it any better.
