Thought he hated the interior of the 992.

Apparently British roads suck, and/or he needs to align his car

I don't take any of the British reviewers road reviews seriously because literally 60 percent of the time they are bemoaning the **** state of their infrastructure.

swap out to ps4s and run at comfort pressure. Solved. I don’t understand why everyone bitching about these cars being too harsh never checks their tire pressure. Car journalists, you’re not ever going to do a VMAX run unless you’re on the autobahn or a drag strip. Wtf are you running at top speed pressures in an unloaded car ?

like, not even trying.

I like Chris a lot. One of the best presenters out there. Just his opinions on Porsche noticably got a bit odd since quite some time. Propably still sulky about not getting a GT4RS allocation..

His opinions on cars is odd, period. Especially for folks on this side of the Atlantic.

He was entertaining when Youtube car reviewers were still in their infancy and every one of his "mega" exclamations was always funny. Nowadays, he just seem old and tired. Even his drifting montages, while previously always great eye-candy, are now just part of the white noise that all Youtubers do.

CH is among the journos I have enjoyed (admittedly perhaps I am biased as I own cars he does/has owned LOL), but I do agree his sentiment towards PAG has somewhat soured, particularly since he totaled his 991.2 Touring.

Plus, with his Collecting Cars/Watches business, related marketing, podcasts et all - he's now deeply in the 'mainstream' bucket of producing videos for the sake of feeding the masses (at the expense of historically good content). Just MHO.

Which is odd because as someone who has spent a lot of time in the UK, and most of it outside of London and other major cities, I've yet to run into truly horrifyingly bad roads. I mean you compare those roads to Dallas or Los Angeles and they are far better in my experience. Some of the more rural areas can have very tight roads because of when they were built but I've never found the condition to be all that lacking.

And I also don't find the 992 GT3 to be horrifyingly stiff either. It's stiffer than the 991.2, but with the right tires and pressures, it feels maybe 5% stiffer? It's not something that would ever stop me from driving it, even on a road trip (although it also wouldn't be my first choice for a road trip unless it's through some fun roads).

Chris Harris sulking about not getting a 4RS allocation is such BS. Chris could get an allocation on ANY new Porsche he wants (including the SC) with one call to PAG. Behind the scenes, Porsche UK wouldn't give him "all the money" for his 992 trade in, so he decided to bash them with his "poor me - not worthy" story. Chris got far more money selling/promoting the sale on his CollectingCars platform.

And why bash the 992 Touring when previously he raved about it being the better car? Flipping a highly-specced nearly new 992 vs selling his beat up 991.2 Touring again got Chris far more money. Simple,

Do I bemoan Chris Harris for going for the money play? Of course not. But to **** on Porsche like a butt-hurt crybaby was pretty low class. Integrity lost.

When did he total his 991.2 Touring? Curious what happened.

From memory - Nov 2018.

Allegedly not his fault, on a B-/country road in the UK.
