I'll never understand people who skip PPF on a six figure sports car.

To avoid installers who leave knife cuts into your paint.

How do you get the track marks off? I am PPFd and ceramic coated. I find the rubber comes of the paint pretty easily. But getting it off the PPF is a PITA.
Any tips for a product that works without destroying ceramic coat?

You avoid installers who leave knife cuts into your paint by going to installers who DO NOT leave knife cuts into your paint, rather than not doing PPF altogether, no?

I get it that in today's world with these outfits popping up like mushrooms after rain there are fly-by-night PPF installers, as seemingly every Tom, Dick, and Harriette have a PPF shop now. But that should not be a deterrent to doing PPF as plenty or credible places to go. Otherwise it's kinda like saying: "I won't redo my house because of bad contractors". Plenty of good contractors out there so don't let that derail your desires.

Agreed. However, there’s no doubt that those who have had bad history with PPF are hesitant on doing it again. YMMV

I saw a pretty good youtube vid on testing all sorts of chemicals from light to harsh on ceramic coatings (obviously no two are the same so results may vary) and even the harshest chemicals really didn't make much of a difference on the coating.

Having said that, I'm fully PPF + ceramic (I use this: https://mothers.com/products/r3-raci...-remover-09224

100% - and I will be the first one to admit I've had bad PPF experience (dating back to the 'clear bra' days of yore, and then dealer-based work in the early days of the PPF industry).

All of this experience just made me more aware of what to look for, and to be much more scrutinizing in my selection. Over the years I have even changed PPF providers (with whom I have been happy with their prior work) who became a 'victim of their own success' - i.e. started running a large operation where they no longer were doing the PPF-ing themselves, but rather got relegated to the admin/logistical work given the size of operations, and are hiring 'understudies' to do the PPF at lower standards of execution.
