The real question is what will happen with the manual. If Porsche does away with it, I don't want anything they offer.

We don't yet know that every model is going hybrid (base Carrera and GT3 Touring maybe not). But as far as a hybrid model that retains a manual option, there is no hint of that yet...

I am a 992.1 GT3 Touring Owner and on the queuelist for the 992.2 GT3 Touring.
My dealer informed me that allocations might start in October and it will still be a non hybrid car, any other owners that have this same info?
And as a first, my dealer confirmed that you have the option of configurating it as a 2+2 seater! they can sign me up

Seems too soon for the .2 GT3 since the .2 911 will debut this summer but sooner is better. I wonder if the rear seats can be spec together with the weissach package.

For sure when in october (ish) you are allocated a production slot, it is expected to only be delivered around Q1/25... depending on PTS or not..
I am now indeed talking about the GT3 Touring (2+2), not sure if this would be similar for GT3 or GT3 RS (with or without weissach)

wonder if they will develop a new carbon bucket seat that folds to get to the back seats or if the Lazy-Boys are the only option

Probably not, we will have to use https://www.recaro-automotive.com/en...recaro-sport-c
From 2025 Recaro will manufacture also the coupe foldable version.

I deferred my 992.1 GT3 allocation (PTS not available) for a 992.2 slot. Sticking with my 992.1 TT for now. My dealer pretty much told me the same thing ... first 992.2 GT3 allocations would show up late 24 with the first delivers being May/June 25. We'll see.

Hi JJ, where are you located?
Happy to hear you had a similar story

A 2+2 in a GT car? That would be quite surprising. I am not sure how much weight that would add but it certainly seems to go against the ethos of a GT car. Maybe they will just call it something else.

I am eagerly waiting to see what the 992.2 GT3 turns out to be. If they keep it basically the same as today and give it little S/T / RS parts, the hybrid normal 911s will be faster. If they hybridize the GT3, it will lose some of it's desirability (IMO) because PDK only, and you know... hybrid.

It wouldn't add much weight, but it would compromise the suspension (has to allow for a wide range of weight in the rear seats, or not). I don't have a big problem with this option for the Touring, but hope they make the regular Winged GT3 even sharper and more uncompromising (and keep Manual option)...

This is not accurate from your dealer. The 992.2 GT3 is at least 18-24 months out. The 992.2 base 911 has not even been launched yet, the GT3 is the last, or one of the last of the 911 lineup to launch after a new gen.

.2 GT3 will be a MY26 at earliest for the US

I have a lemon GT3 Touring and was talking last week with my dealer about the possibility to sell my 992.1 GT3 T for a new 992.2 GT3 T but he told me next 992.2 GT3 will probably be hybrid.

Even dealers have no real idea of what is coming.

let's wait some months

I got told similarly. Only that production starts in Q1 2025. They told me manual still available but no 2+2. As unfolded in the other thread, Weissach seems to become available for the winged car, for touring probably too.
Also they said start of sale for non Gt 992.2 should be close too.
