Front/rear tire wear
With regular track use, I’m being told that I should expect the front tires to wear twice as quickly as the rears. I’ve only gone through 1 set of tires and this is consistent with my experience so far. I’m an intermediate driver with about 8-10 track days on this car so I’m still getting used to the car while developing driving skills. In my novice thinking, I was wondering if the accelerated front tire wear is indicative of excessive under steer. While I’ve noticed that the car is pushing in a few corners, I’ve also noticed that the car is loose in others. Side note, the front and rear sway bars are set in the middle position. A few questions:
1) For those of you who track your cars, is that consistent with your experience?
2) Can anything be done with the sway bar settings, tire pressures, etc to balance the wear?
3) Should I just accept the unbalanced front/rear wear and “get over it”?
4) Other thoughts?

Are you wearing the fronts evenly across their treads? If not, maybe a different alignment could help (what are your settings?). My wear is fairly even front/rear.

Is there a consensus on the “ideal” sway bar settings for the 992 GT3 for track use?

Tire wear is highly dependent upon how hard you are driving the car, and the track itself. Some tracks destroy tires, others are not as much. With all the camber, bar adjustments in the world I have never gotten perfectly even wear as the track itself dictates wear. Some places I can get a weekend out of a new set of Cup 2s, other tracks I can get 2-3 weekends out of them if I rotate them between days. The down side of getting faster is that money spent on consumables like tires, rotors and pads start to add up quickly!
