Default TRAKCAR GT3RS prod. started Oct 5 sits till January

I cancelled Euro Delivery because its impossible with these moving dates.
Not in a hurry for the car but if I knew it would be January, I might have suffered through the ED program people..

A bit concerning that the car sits somewhere 2 or 3 months in some kind of half built state?
I received the progress pics October 5, not it seems they hope to complete the build in December?!

I have the poverty edition, only PCCB option, base otherwise!

With no rust proofing, I hope its inside somewhere...

Most likely related to the standard headlight or wheels. Mine was delayed 45 days right after I got those same 2 pictures. My friend has the standard wheels and his was 34 days delayed.

From all the specs I’ve seen, just about no one picks the standard wheels and only a handful pick the standard headlights.

I heard its because you didnt hit the msrp threshold to contribute to the fat bonus paychecks of PAG management.

Kidding of course.

From my experience, every single car that waited like this either in half built state or in emden came with some form of damage, imperfections, electronic issues, or other weird issues. Cars dont like to sit for months no matter what porsche or other people may lead you to think otherwise.

Interesting. Mine went into production today with completion date of 11/29 and a dealer ETA of 12/29.

Maybe the opposite of poverty spec is the key to speedy builds… Mine may become a 2025

My purple car looked as if a 10 year old sprayed it. 3 huge (6” to 15” long) paint runs. When I pointed it out it went to the back and another 10 year old buffered the car in an hour.. I clear bra’ed the car and never seen the paint again, but still.. I don’t think that’s the reason for the delay. ..

After that a sales stop occurred a month or two for UV. But it became so popular they brought it back after they learned how to paint purple.

My Lizzard paint was perfect.

standard wheels most likely because rarely chosen and unique to GT3RS? And easy to mount later as they come in?

Lights, other dooda’s are available on all 992 and are most likely not the cause. Most likely base wheels and PCCB…

Haha. Definitely not poverty spec. Hope it doesn't repeat your UV experience.

Peter,
My mid-spec RS was due to be completed yesterday but now bumped to December.
Original completion date was mid October.

Very strange. Mine went into production on October 7 and is on a truck between Toronto and Vancouver already. The only delay was 2 weeks sitting in Halifax port waiting for truck. I have PCCB as well, but also mag wheels and HD headlights, so maybe indeed the wheels are the cause. Hard to say with Porsche. Hopefully, it does not take too long. When it gets to you, check the tires for cracking just in case. It sometimes happens to these cars when they spend too much time outside or even on a truck in winter.
