Just got an allocation for a GT3 RS
I just put my build order in yesterday. I went black with blue decals and blue wheels. My question is being that I know nothing about Porsche and I'm coming from a 22 Huracan that was Verde Mantis (bright green) because I always think about resale. What color would you guys recommend thinking about resale?? I have until March to change my build..

Congrats on the allocation! You might want to post this in the 992 GT section.
Regardless, new RS looks awesome in yellow. Signal Yellow would be my first choice, but would live with Racing Yellow if no PTS available.

How did you get the allocation- especially as a non-Porsche buyer in the past ? The GT cars, particularly the new RS, are allocated to the best of the best of Porsche loyalists. Believe me I’ve tried and failed despite owning turbos in the past. Seems wild that you could just walk in and order the most desirable Porsche on the market now…I’m jealous and want to know your secret!

So the result is these track weapons are being bought by people who have to come in here and ask what kind of color to get for resale because they're not exactly going to keep it until it depreciates closer to what MSRP was. Never mind actually driving it on track like it was meant to.
Silly situation if you ask me.

A lot of long time "Porsche loyalists" aren't willing to play ball with the ludicrous ADMs so as long as you'll open your wallet anyone can get one. It's not like they're that rare, they're building thousands. I see posts on social media every day offering 992 RS either already delivered or up for configuration - for a price.

I mean, you have to understand that you look a tad silly coming in to ask about a color for resale on an RS in the wrong subforum no less. You "know nothing about Porsche" and that is your main question about a GT3 RS? Why are you even buying it?

Zero jealousy here, I don't live in the US and have no ADM issues in my region.

Burning Brakes
I'd build it just like the launch car. Ice Grey and red wheels/accents. Looks perfect with the black bits everywhere. From what I understand black is the least favored Porsche color and for me would hide all the vents, etc. I'd opt for a brighter color.

Fair enough I can see your point.. I plan on keeping this one for awhile but I have said this so many times before. Lets put it this way my buddy keeps telling me once I own a Porsche I'll never want anything else so I'm going to give it a try.. Anyways what color would you go with??
I will say that you may be disappointed by the straight line performance of these, will feel slow vs the Lambo and VERY slow vs the tickled ZR1.

How about this....buy a car that you like since you'll be keeping the car for a while. I don't get why you are buying the car for another buyer. Besides, if you want the next new Porsche you'll probably need to trade the car in the dealer that gave you the allocation (assuming you didn't have to pay a $100k+ ADM).
