I don’t have a side by side, but I took a couple more photos yesterday and wrote down some rough dimensions before driving to the dealer. Spoke with them extensively on Monday and felt comfortable getting it installed there. Cost to ship to deman is basically cost to install at dealer which is 10 min from my house.
I could have drove to deman and waited but I wasn’t sure if something could have came up and delayed the install and I’m in New York twiddling my thumbs.
The dealer did call this morning and said some more parts would need to be ordered. Just some clips and bolts that were one time uses. Could have the car back as soon as Friday depending on when those parts come in.
I will start a new thread when all is said and done and add the needed parts to the original list.
Thanks. That is a nice looking clutch. Many years ago I sold a lot of aftermarket multi-plate clutches and have seen the good and the bad.
I still can't tell if there is a third disc on the bottom between the clutch cover and what looks like the first intermediate plate. You don't often see multi-plate racing-style clutches with sprung hub discs and organic material, usually carbon or cerametallic unsprung, which while great for racing, are poor for driveability. I bet this one is light and snappy but still has good driveability. Excited to hear your review.
Was there a manufacturer stamped on it? I would guess it's a Sachs.
Please post pictures of the original parts if you can.
I'm sure the dealer install will be just fine, clutches are wear items meant to be replaced at some point.

Yes, the videos and reviews certainly portray the clutch use this way on the S/T. My only lingering question is whether the ECU code is materially different in the S/T to use this hardware so easily.

There is a third disc. I took it apart to tinker, but didn’t take a photo.
Will post photos and weight of the old clutch as soon as I can.
Agree with your last statement. I was never worried about the install as it is a wear and tear item. I just wanted to make sure whomever installed it had at least done so before. This tech has replaced a clutch on a 992 GT3 already.
Mine didn’t have the issue but I wanted to clear it from my Porscheapp.
“In the 911 GT3 Touring recall, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) notice states that the sports car has a center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) used when the rear spoiler is in the retracted position and a secondary CHMSL that’s used when the rear spoiler is deployed. These lights are not supposed to illuminate together. However, they are both activated when the rear spoiler is manually deployed at speeds below 90 km/h (56 mph).
The issue has been triggered by a software error in the rear spoiler control unit but fortunately, it will be easy to fix. Indeed, all Porsche dealers need to do is reprogram the rear spoiler control unit on the 700 units affected. All 911 GT3 Touring models involved in the recall were built between January 12, 2022, and May 25, 2023.“

Wow, ST clucth is "my design" clutch that i was looking for my EVO, triple disks, organic and at least one sprunged disk. Unfortnunatelly there are no such clutches on the market, all small diameter triple disks are ceramic/metal.
So beside the light flywheel having also a smaller diameter clutch is helping in revving.
