Why does the Gt3 have a satellite radio antenna and my GTS doesn’t

Default Why does the Gt3 have a satellite radio antenna and my GTS doesn’t
Just noticed the other day, never really paid attention that the GTS I picked up doesn’t have the sirus antenna on the roof even though it has satellite radio and everything works? Why does the Gt3 have it and the regular 992 doesn’t and they both have satellite radio?

I would love to know as well. I was not thrilled when it showed up with that wart on top. I don’t even listen to Sirius.

I thought I read if you delete the antenna you don’t have access to satellite radio?

I just rechecked the configurator. I don’t see a box that you can check although I remember reading it somewhere?

I have an idea that the antenna can't be embedded in lightweight glass therefore gt3 gets the wart.

By all means, feel free to tell us where this "box" is to checkmark in order to delete the wart.
I've never seen it.

My 2024 non-US spec gt3 has no wart, and has satellite radio.
The car has LWG as standard and there is an imbedded antenna in the windshield that is clearly visible.
I have also noticed in some pictures that other GT3s that are outside the US also have no wart.

There was no box that I checked when I configured the car to delete the wart. That option wasn’t available.

From the RS configurator
what does “remains available but without function mean?”
It’s a radio if it’s available, it means you can listen one would think??

GT3 did not have the option to delete the antenna when I locked.

Who uses satellite radio anymore? Just get spotify and don't have an archaic antenna on your car.

The option to remove the wart is available on the GT4 RS and GT3 RS configurators.

As my '21 Turbo S has no wart, but has Sirius (I never use it), I asked around my dealer why the RS needs to have the wart, no one seems to know the answer.
I too deleted the wart on my RS which is heading into production any day now.
