Default New oil for the GT engines

Just had a talk and follow up on my allocation inquiry a d got informed that as of Feb a new oil is exclusively to be used for the GT engine powered cars. Called C40 GT.
Seems to be related to friction or wear additives related to the non roller rockers on these engines.
They said the current specification will bet transfered to the gt oil and the current Base oil C40 might change
Was done on many oils before with the zddp reduction for emission or hazard reduction...

Maybe interesting for the one or the other.

Sniff? Pfffftt. Gonna oil up my grill and sear a ribeye on it. Hear the smoke point is higher than avocado oil.

Good question. Porsche dealer maybe will have before places like Autozone. Bracing for big price increase…

Not to mention 4 oil changes or so to flush out nearly all the non-Green colored oil…

This would be a timely moment for porsche to tell us (or dealers) how to drain all the oil

As with ANY race motor..... oil change should be done after put to the test at its limits regardless of age of oil or cycle. Heat kills and the way oil has gotten thinner and thinner over the years for sake of emissions has really presented a false expectation of service intervals.

I think I flushed out 4 qts the night before I got an oil change last year. Not a full change (no filter) but mostly to loosen the bolt properly.

Plan to do the same again this year. So I guess I got half then another half out during proper oil change.

Half, and then a quarter. Kind of.

Is this coming to the US market, or just specific to other markets/regions? The top of the link mentions Ukraine.
