Rear Axle Cooling Duct Upgrade?
#32
I installed mine a few weeks ago. Took longer to get the car in the air than to swap the part. Uses the stock bolts and mount points. No drilling and extremely simple to install. As far as usefulness, who knows, but figured a little extra air circulated in there can't hurt. The brake duct inlets are also slightly larger than the stock one, so a little extra air forced there also.
just some side by side photos and one of them installed.

Just finished installing the upgraded ducks.
Interesting that the stock ones have no airflow directed at all to the outer CV joint.
Does anyone know which CV joints were prone to failing?
Was it the outer?
Now it looks like they really have airflow going to it ?
they did it for a reason.
can’t hurt, easy upgrade

New ducts improve flow to inners and add flow to outers…

Finally pulled the trigger on this after ordering some of the new oil. Now I’m looking into manthey stainless brake lines and brake pads. This sicknesss never ends. 😫
