Car lift recommendations
Fellas —
I need a lift for my garage. I have plenty of ceiling space, so that’s not a concern. It isn’t the widest garage, though. What would you guys recommend? I’d like a 4-post. Bendpak is really the only one that I know of…I just don’t have any experience. Putting an Audi RS4 up top, so a relatively small car but it’s a little German pig.
Thanks for any recs. Pics would of course be wonderful.

You need to consider a couple of other things. Some lifts require 240V, some require air compressor. Four posts lifts are not great for maintenance unless you have rolling jacks with them. 2 or 1 posts are great for maintenance but a very bad choice for storage. Make sure you know what you are getting.
I have had a Direct Pro 8s Lift for three years. It's a 120V non air compressor, plug and play. It also came with rollers to move it around with one person. I actually moved mine out of my garage to redo my floors and then rolled it back in. Best investment I have ever made since I own three Porsches and do all my own maintenance. It's paid for itself three times over. Benpak is very good too but more expensive. I have had no issue with mine and I use it constantly. I also do maintenance on my friend's Porsches as well. And let's not forget, It's just friggin cool to stack cars in your garage.

At the time, I paid $3200 for the lift, $1300 for delivery from Dallas and install. I live in NOLA. Unbelievably cheap! I also bought two rolling jacks for about $800 each so that I could lift the entire car up on the four post lift to do brake flushes and tire rotations on my wife's car. Prices have gone up since I bought mine. That was pre-covid. They also come in different sizes (widths) and lifting capacities.

one of these was posted in the garage thread; imo I like the amount of space it allows around the 3 sides of the car. https://aclifts.com/lifts/m-1-single-post-car-lift/. 4500/6500 lb capacities. US made

+1 for American Custom Lifts. It gives you plenty of room with just the one post and you can fit an SUV under it if you get the 6.5. Not the cheapest but a really nice lift, I have had mine for about 8 years with no complaints.

Quality is great. Comes in two pieces that bolt together. She said the Petrol Vibes one was a lot smaller for way more.

Good list of things to consider from subshooter above. I went with a Challenger 4-post lift because it's American made, is certified by the ALI, and doesn't require an air compressor for the locks. Been happy with it for years. https://www.challengerlifts.com/car_...post-car-lift/

Nice. Timely Thread.
I’m running out of garage space and need to get two lifts this spring. I need to fit 5 cars into our 3 car garage once the Spyder RS and another car arrive innJune. . Unsure if some of these options work best together or if they have a deal for the second lift half off !
