Can someone please confirm if the Porsche (Sticker/painted) badge on the hood is underneath a clear coat? I’ve PPF on the hood, now it makes me think what would happen to the badge when removing the PPF, hope it is under a clear coat.

Default Proud moment 😊

For years we’ve been educating on the pros/cons of doing ppf on headlights

this thread is great to see that education paying off 👌

every ppf is different, so the installer is crucial on both the installation of the film AND the removal should the time come

the films we’ve tried, and our techniques, of the thousands of headlights we’ve installed, I can count on one hand the times delamination has occured

NOT having pitted headlights…priceless 😎

Well I never thought about it, but my Speedster was PPFed when brand new, so that sticker is probably doomed. I'm sure it isn't hard to replace and can't tell if it's under clear coat at this point.

ppf CAN be removed safely with the sticker crest underneath it

I think for 992.1 RS, Porsche has clear coated the sticker…depending on the bond of the clear to the sticker, that MAY be an issue when removing ppf

time will tell

PPF on headlights is a non-negotiable item for me, they are by far and away the most vulnerable part of the front end of any car and protecting them at all costs is a must, especially with these hugely expensive LED Matrix PDLS headlights.

Absolutely PPF on headlights! That is a no-brainer.

Absolutely no brainer for me, clarity pretty much indistinguishable than without

I ppf’ed all my cars including the headlights on my 991.2 GT3 done at the dealership.

On the 992 GT3 I did the same but at Indy shop and when I was in for my first service I was advised by my SA that Porsche had sent a notice to dealers advising them to “void” warranty on lights for cars noted to have ppf’ed. I’m paraphrasing so likely not exactly what was said. They removed the ppf at the dealership with my approval. Now thinking I should just reapply it.

I want as little PPF on my car as possible. Who am I saving it for?
